HJR 101 proposes a constitutional amendment allowing the legislature to limit the maximum appraised value of commercial real property for ad valorem tax purposes. The amendment specifies that the appraised value cannot exceed 120% (or a legislatively prescribed percentage) of the property’s appraised value from the previous year​.
