HJR 165 proposes a constitutional amendment to officially recognize the United States Space Force in references to military service within the Texas Constitution. It amends provisions concerning public office eligibility for members of the military and clarifies that the Space Force is included in definitions of the armed forces of the United States. If passed by the legislature, the amendment will be placed on the November 4, 2025, ballot for voter approval​.
