SB 1039 establishes a school uniform allotment under the Foundation School Program. It entitles school districts to $100 per student per year for those attending schools that require uniforms. Funds can only be used to provide uniforms to students. In cases where state appropriations are insufficient to fully fund the program, priority is given to Title I schools that serve low-income students. The bill aims to reduce financial barriers for families in schools with mandatory uniform policies​.
