Digest
SB 1104 establishes fingerprinting requirements for large vehicle dealerships. The bill applies to individuals applying for or renewing a dealer general distinguishing number for 10 or more locations. It allows the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) to require fingerprints from one manager or employee per dealership location, but only if the employee’s primary workplace is within 100 miles of the location. If an individual applies for multiple dealership locations, one fingerprint submission may cover all locations within 100 miles.
