Digest
SB 1200 requires plaintiffs in civil lawsuits against U.S. defense contractors to disclose whether they or their attorneys have received funding or financial support from entities affiliated with nations subject to U.S. sanctions or embargoes. Plaintiffs must disclose these funding sources under oath as part of their initial court filings and have a continuing obligation to update disclosures throughout the case. Courts are prohibited from allowing privilege claims to withhold this information. Failure to comply may result in case dismissal or other legal sanctions.
