SB 1367 transfers the authority to appoint and remove the state prosecuting attorney from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals to the Texas Supreme Court. It expands the state prosecuting attorney's jurisdiction to include criminal cases related to election law violations and specifies that implementation of new duties is contingent upon state funding​.
