SB 160 requires counties with populations over one million to establish senior justice assessment centers. These centers will investigate elder abuse through multidisciplinary teams involving law enforcement, adult protective services, prosecutors, public health institutions, and others. The centers will also evaluate seniors' mental and physical well-being, make referrals for necessary care, and collaborate with experts in elder care and justice.
