SB 1613 increases the limit on the number of students eligible for the gifted and talented allotment under the Foundation School Program. It raises the cap from 5% to 10% of a school district’s average daily attendance, thereby allowing more students to qualify for this funding. The law is set to take effect on September 1, 2025.
