SB 1618 requires that a Spanish-language translation of an executory contract for the purchase of residential real property in a colonia be provided if requested by the purchaser. The translation must be done by a certified translator, but the official executed contract and any legally binding documents must remain in English. This bill applies only to property transactions occurring on or after September 1, 2025.
