SB 1747 expands health insurance coverage requirements for breast cancer screenings and diagnostics. It prohibits health benefit plans from imposing cost-sharing requirements (such as deductibles or copayments) for screening mammograms, diagnostic imaging, and supplemental breast examinations. The bill defines diagnostic imaging to include mammograms, ultrasounds, MRIs, and molecular breast imaging for individuals at high risk. It applies to health plans issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2026.
