SB 1812 revises insurance regulations regarding prior authorization for prescription drugs used to treat neurodegenerative diseases. The bill prohibits health insurers from requiring more than one prior authorization per year for prescription drugs treating autoimmune diseases, hemophilia, neurodegenerative diseases, or Von Willebrand disease. The law applies to health benefit plans issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2026.
