SB 1966 requires public schools and healthcare providers to distribute information on centers for independent living (CILs) to families of individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD). School districts must provide resource materials to parents of special education students, and hospitals must include CIL information in their postnatal care resource packets​.
