SB 2186 expands compensatory time off benefits for certain state employees who are required to work on national or state holidays. Eligible employees include peace officers, public security officers, dispatchers, crime analysts, and employees of the Department of Family and Protective Services, the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, and the Parks and Wildlife Department​.
