SB 2714 prohibits public institutions of higher education from requiring students to take courses that promote concepts such as systemic racism, privilege, or identity politics. It also restricts funding for such courses using state appropriations and prohibits faculty from being incentivized to include such content in coursework. Exceptions are made for historical discussions of racial discrimination and medical or scientific education.
