Digest
SB 303 modifies the rules for appointing spoken language interpreters in court proceedings. In counties with populations of 50,000 or more, courts may appoint non-certified interpreters for languages other than Spanish if no licensed interpreter is available within 75 miles, and for justice or municipal courts regardless of language availability.
