SB 426 requires the Public Utility Commission of Texas to create and update, on a weekly basis during the summer months, a public report showing the total number of residential electric service disconnections due to nonpayment. The first report is due by June 1, 2026, and will aim to provide transparency and insight into disconnection trends across the state.
