Fireside Chat | Liberty & Law Enforcement: Privacy, AI, & Public Safety

Texas Policy Research President Jeramy Kitchen will participate in a fireside chat on “Liberty & Law Enforcement: Privacy, AI, & Public Safety” during the Texas Young Republican Federation’s annual state convention on Saturday, August 29, 2026, in San Marcos.

The conversation will explore the increasingly complex intersection of emerging technology, law enforcement, and individual liberty. Topics will include artificial intelligence (AI), surveillance technologies, privacy and Fourth Amendment concerns, and how policymakers can address legitimate public safety needs while preserving constitutional protections.

The fireside chat will take place from 1:00 to 1:20 p.m. at the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Marcos Hotel Conference Center, located at 1001 E. McCarty Lane in San Marcos.
