The Texas House Committee on Insurance is scheduled to reconvene on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in Room E2.026 of the Texas Capitol if the committee does not complete the invited testimony scheduled for its October 5 interim hearing.
If necessary, the committee will continue hearing invited testimony on the previously posted interim charges concerning property and casualty insurance costs, consumer protections, policy cancellation and nonrenewal, and implementation of legislation passed during the 89th Legislature.
This meeting is contingent upon the committee needing additional time to complete its October 5 hearing.
