Rep. Helen Kerwin is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, first elected in 2025 to represent District 58, which covers Johnson and Somervell counties. Born October 10, 1947, she has owned and operated the Country Woods Inn, a ranch and bed-and-breakfast in Glen Rose, since 1980.

Before her election to the Texas House, Rep. Kerwin served as Mayor of Glen Rose beginning in 1997 and as the first Republican elected to the Somervell County Commissioners Court. She also served on the North Texas Council of Governments Executive Board, which represents 16 counties. Rep. Kerwin is the mother of three daughters, including Brooke Rollins, who currently serves as United States Secretary of Agriculture.
For the 89th Legislative Session, Speaker Dustin Burrows appointed Rep. Kerwin to the House Committees on Culture, Recreation & Tourism and Public Education.
