Capriglione chairs the House Committee on Delivery of Government Efficiency and represents portions of Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, Keller, Westlake, and Euless. He announced in July 2025 that he would not seek re-election.

Rep. Giovanni Capriglione was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2012 and is serving his seventh term representing District 98, which encompasses all or part of Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, Keller, Westlake, and Euless.

After receiving his B.S. in Physics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Rep. Capriglione pursued his M.B.A. in Finance from Santa Clara University. After school, he went on to work for a DFW-based venture capital and private equity firm. He is now the owner and president of his own small business, Texas Adventure Capital LLC, which provides business services to various investment fund managers and business owners. His focus is investing in Texas-based small businesses.
Previously, Rep. Capriglione held various positions at computer engineering companies specializing in semiconductor design and Internet products, and was senior vice president at an investment firm. He authored HB 483 in the 84th Legislature, which established the Texas Bullion Depository — the first state-administered precious metals depository in the United States.
Rep. Capriglione has been married to his wife Elisa since 2000, and they have three daughters who attend Carroll ISD schools. The family co-founded the Southlake Lions Club. In July 2025, Rep. Capriglione announced he would not seek re-election.
