Biography

A native of Dallas, Texas, Rep. Yvonne Davis has served as a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives since 1993, representing House District 111, which encompasses portions of southern Dallas County including parts of Dallas, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Grand Prairie. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston and was a small business owner before entering elected public service. Over her seventeen consecutive legislative sessions, she has served on committees including Transportation, Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence, Ways & Means, and Redistricting. She currently serves on the House Committees on Land & Resource Management and State Affairs.
