Rep. Andy Hopper is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, first elected in 2025 to represent District 64, which covers all of Wise County and the northwest portion of Denton County. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Ohio University in 1997 and a Master of Computer Science from the University of North Texas in 2000.

Born February 18, 1977 in Kansas City, Missouri, Rep. Hopper has worked in the private sector and defense industry as a software engineer for more than two decades. He is the owner of Catlett Creek Software, a software consulting firm he founded in 2019, and has served as an adjunct professor in computer science at the University of North Texas. He joined the Texas State Guard in 2014 and currently holds the rank of Chief Warrant Officer.
Rep. Hopper and his wife Amanda have homeschooled their three sons Ian, Sam, and Grant. In addition to his software work, he and Amanda operate a small farm in Wise County.
For the 89th Legislative Session, Speaker Dustin Burrows appointed Rep. Hopper to the House Committees on Agriculture & Livestock and Insurance. He and his family reside in Decatur.
