Rep. Venton Jones is a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives, first elected in 2023 to represent District 100, which covers a portion of Dallas County including South, West, and East Dallas, Victory Park, Oak Cliff, and part of Mesquite.

Rep. Jones earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington, and holds a global certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP). He is the Founder and CEO of the Southern Black Policy and Advocacy Network (SBPAN), a nonprofit focused on advancing the health, social, and economic well-being of Black communities in the Southern United States, and is also a Texas Realtor.
For the 89th Legislative Session, Speaker Dustin Burrows appointed Rep. Jones to serve as Vice-Chair of the House Committee on Corrections and to serve on the House Committee on Appropriations, including its Subcommittee on Article II, which appropriates funding for the state’s health and human services agencies.
