Rep. Ken King is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, currently serving his seventh term and representing District 88, which covers 19 counties across the Texas Panhandle and South Plains. Born December 28, 1971 in Canadian, Texas, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Nazarene University.

Rep. King is President of Black Gold Pump and Supply Inc., a Canadian-based energy services company serving the oil and natural gas industry. Before his election to the Texas House, he served on the Canadian Independent School District Board of Trustees for more than five years, including as President, and on the Hemphill County Appraisal District Executive Board for more than four years, serving more than three of those as Chairman.

For the 89th Legislative Session, Speaker Dustin Burrows appointed Rep. King to chair the House Committee on State Affairs and the Select Committee on Disaster Preparedness & Flooding, and to serve on the House Committee on House Administration. Rep. King and his wife Robin have two grown children.
