Rep. Oscar Longoria is a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives, first elected in 2013 to represent District 35, which covers portions of Hidalgo and Cameron counties in the Rio Grande Valley. He earned both his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.

Rep. Longoria owns and operates the Law Office of Oscar Longoria. Prior to his service in the Texas House, he served on the Agua Special Utility District as a board member and as a trustee for South Texas College. Now serving his seventh term, he was honored as the recipient of the 2017 Outstanding Young Texas Ex Award, recognizing Texas Exes age 39 and younger for significant career achievements and service to the University, and in 2018 received the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law. He is a Life Member of the Texas Exes Association.

For the 89th Legislative Session, Speaker Dustin Burrows appointed Rep. Longoria to the House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures and the House Committee on Trade, Workforce & Economic Development, where he serves as Vice-Chair of the Subcommittee on International Relations and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Workforce.
