SB 1424 expands the authority of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to allow certain public junior colleges to offer additional baccalaureate degree programs. It increases the limit on the number of such programs that a junior college may offer from five to eight and allows degree programs in education fields in addition to applied science and applied technology.
