A former public school teacher and two-term member of the Texas State Board of Education, Rep. Davis was elected to the Texas House in 2025 to represent southern Dallas County communities including DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Lancaster, Glenn Heights, and parts of Dallas and Grand Prairie.
Biography
Rep. Aicha Davis was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2024 to represent House District 109, and took office in January 2025. She previously served two terms on the Texas State Board of Education from 2019 to 2024, representing SBOE District 13. Before entering public service, she spent roughly a decade teaching science and engineering in Texas public schools, including in disciplinary alternative programs in Irving and DeSoto ISDs.
