Rep. Ben Bumgarner is a North Texas native and a resident of the Town of Flower Mound, where he served on Town Council and as Mayor Pro Tem before running for the State Legislature.

Rep. Bumgarner represents House District 63, covering the southern portion of Denton County, which includes parts of Flower Mound, Lewisville, Carrollton, Coppell, Trophy Club, Fort Worth, Southlake, and Roanoke. He serves on the Environmental Regulation and Pensions, Investments & Financial Services Committees for the 89th Legislative Session. He succeeded now-State Senator Tan Parker in the seat.

Rep. Bumgarner is a co-owner of Evolve Weapons Systems. During the 88th Legislative Session, he authored legislation related to human trafficking enforcement.

Rep. Bumgarner and his wife, Mindy, met while attending Austin College. They have one daughter, Cecelia, and four fur babies: Rebel, Abbie, Bonnie, and Clyde. Ben and Mindy are members of the Flower Mound United Methodist Church.
