A retired businessman, U.S. Army veteran, and former Humble ISD trustee, Rep. Cunningham represents Humble, Huffman, Kingwood, and Atascocita in northeast Harris County, where he has lived for more than three decades.

Rep. Charles Cunningham was elected in 2022 to represent House District 127, which includes Humble, Huffman, Kingwood, and Atascocita. He has lived in the district for more than 30 years.

For the 89th Legislative Session, Speaker Dustin Burrows appointed Rep. Cunningham to serve on three committees and one subcommittee: Public Education, Public Health, Local & Consent Calendars, and the Subcommittee on Disease Prevention & Women’s & Children’s Health.
Residing in Humble and HD 127 for over three decades, Rep. Cunningham has been active in several community organizations and events, including serving as President of Humble Area Assistance Ministries, Director of the Northshire III HOA, Past Department Chairman of the CenterPoint Energy United Way, an IBEW Credit Union board member, Past President of the Gulf Coast Area Association of School Boards, Vice-Chairman of Government Affairs for the Lake Houston Chamber of Commerce, a Kingwood Hospital Advisory board member, and District Finance Chairman for the Boy Scouts of America.
Rep. Cunningham lives in Humble with his wife of 40 years, Stella, who is a retired educator. They have four children and nine grandchildren. He is a U.S. Army veteran and a deacon at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. Prior to his service in the Texas House, he served on the Humble Independent School District Board of Trustees and worked as a distribution account consultant with CenterPoint Energy.
