Biography

Rep. Linda Garcia is a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives, first elected in 2025 to represent District 107, which covers parts of Dallas, Garland, and Mesquite in eastern Dallas County. A published author and financial educator, she studied Business Administration and Marketing.

Before her election to the Texas House, Rep. Garcia built a career as a financial educator focused on demystifying the stock market and building generational wealth in the Latino community. She is the author of the book Money Warrior, the founder of the financial-literacy platform In Luz We Trust, and the creator of “Stacks,” a stock-picking course aimed at children of immigrants. After settling in Mesquite in 2019, she became known for her financial education work on social media during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the 89th Legislative Session, Speaker Dustin Burrows appointed Rep. Garcia to the House Committees on Delivery of Government Efficiency and Pensions, Investments & Financial Services.
