Rep. Luther gained national attention in 2020 after she was briefly jailed for continuing to operate her Dallas salon in defiance of COVID-19 shutdown orders.

For the 89th Legislative Session, Speaker Dustin Burrows appointed Rep. Luther to the House Committees on Intergovernmental Affairs and Trade, Workforce & Economic Development.
