Biography

Rep. Stan Lambert is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, first elected in 2017 to represent District 71, which includes Taylor, Nolan, Jones, and Callahan counties in West Texas. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Abilene Christian University and a graduate certification in banking from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking.

Before his election to the Legislature, Rep. Lambert spent his career in banking. He also completed a term on the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission in 2021.

For the 89th Legislative Session, Speaker Dustin Burrows appointed Rep. Lambert as Chairman of the House Committee on Pensions, Investments & Financial Services and as a member of the House Committee on Higher Education.
