Rep. Suleman Lalani, M.D. is a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives, first elected in 2023 to represent District 76, which covers a portion of Fort Bend County including Sugar Land, Stafford, Meadows Place, and parts of Houston and Mission Bend.

A practicing physician, Rep. Lalani is the first Muslim member of the Texas Legislature from Fort Bend County. He is a founding member of the Texas House Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Caucus, which he now co-chairs.
For the 89th Legislative Session, Speaker Dustin Burrows appointed Rep. Lalani to the House Committees on Higher Education and Land & Resource Management, where he serves as Vice-Chairman.
